The function of our reinforcement in earth reinforced walls is to provide adequate stability to the soil to enable it to withstand shear deformations. The wall-facing doe not play a dominant structural role.
To be effective, the reinforcement must exhibit desirable reinforcement characteristics, which include efficient tensile properties and frictional bond. In addition, it must be strain-compatible with the surrounding soils, and must be highly durable.
Our HFW is used in vertical reinforced soil retaining walls and it can be either connected externally to the wall facing units, or cast internally into them. The procedure adopted can depend on a number of factors, for example, the type of facing units used, the method of construction, etc.
